Raspberry Lime Frozen Refreshers

Chillin' Raspberry Limeade Slushies

Serves: 4 hearty portions

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 cups ice
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup soda water
  • Fresh lime wedges, for garnish
  • 4 chilled glasses (optional, but they'll keep your slushie frosty for longer!)


Whip Up Your Slushy Delight

Begin by tossing the lime juice, raspberries, water, ice, and sugar into your blender. Blend the mixture until it transforms into a delightful slushy concoction. Pour this vibrant mix into your glasses, then top each one with roughly 1/4 cup of soda water. For that extra zing, adorn with a lime wedge and sip away before the chill gives you a brain freeze!

If you're not a fan of raspberry seeds (a common concern), I recommend pureeing the berries first. Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve to eliminate the seeds. Then, return the berry juice to the blender and mix in the remaining ingredients. That said, I found the seeds to be less bothersome than I anticipated, thanks to the crunchy texture contributed by the ice.
